Seminars

In 1998 NIWT organized the region's largest international conference, "GloBus'98", in cooperation with trade, development organizations, businesses, universities and the US Department of Commerce.  Attendees came from over 40 States and many foreign countries.  Featured speakers included the US Secretary of Commerce.

 

NIWT has conducted over a hundred conferences, seminars and special events since its founding in 1986, concerning such subjects as: "Long Island-Japan Alliance", USA-India, Partners in Trade", "Trade and Investment Opportunities in China", Opportunities in Chile, a Western Hemisphere Success Story", "Technology on the Volga", "Environmental Concerns and International Trade", "Electronic Commerce... the New Global Frontier", "Innovative Financing for International Trade", "Future of the Panama Canal", "Business-Education Partnerships", "Protection of Intellectual Property Rights" and many others.
